About Timothy Collins
Through almost my entire childhood, I was overweight and it definitely took a toll on me emotionally. It wasn’t actually until late in high school that I began hitting the gym, becoming more confident in myself through general exercise and by senior year, I ended up earning a position on the high school water polo team. Through sports conditioning, I developed a love for fitness, as well as the need to pursue a healthier lifestyle. After graduating I delved into martial arts, exploring Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, and Jeet Kune Do (Yun Fan Kung Fu). These lessons helped me gain a wide range of conditioning components including an emphasis on overall stability, weight management, and functional movement patterns.
In the fall of 2010, I received my first certification as a fitness trainer from the International Sports Science Association. My goal since then is to help people learn and work to achieve their maximum health and fitness potential. After receiving my initial certification, I spent 4 years at Gold's Gym where I was able to gain more knowledge in nutrient timing, power lifting, body building, exercise physiology, and injury prevention. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just breaking the surface of what your body is capable of, I want to help.
